Welcome to our class! I look forward to an enjoyable and productive semester for both the students and myself. American History I, a required course for graduation, is an important course for shaping students into productive citizens. In this course, we will study major events from the settlement of America through post-Civil War reconstruction. Throughout the semester, students develop and utilize various skills such as: an increased vocabulary, critical thinking and improved writing proficiency. My goal for the semester is to pass on a love of history and an understanding of how events from our past have shaped America into what it is today. If the student or parent has any concerns during the school year feel free to contact me at [email protected].
